Maher holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He is certified as a LEED? U. Green Associate Board S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and is also recognized as a certified Level I thermographer.

EMC, Maher meets the following requirements: a degree in engineering or architecture with four years or Professional Engineer (PE) or registered architect (RA) and 3 years experience in energy engineering or energy management .
